While one’s tactics should not be adjusted when playing optimally and running well, a poker player may consider making a small adjustment that is not directly tied to their decisions or decision-making process at the poker table. If a poker player is running well over the course of a session, the player may want to consider increasing the amount of money they are betting on each hand. By raising your bet, the poker player stays the course, thus continuing to make prudent decisions at the online poker site table. However, the increased bet in each hand means that they are merely playing for more money.
If a player is running hot at the tables while playing poker, they can tolerate winning or even losing more money. Thus, a player can continue playing perfect poker and simply increase their stake in each hand. Should the positive and pleasant side of variance continue, the player stands to make even more money during their hot streak. If the hot streak cools off, there is room to absorb the loss. Additionally, the player can always downsize their bets back to normal if they find their hot streak comes to an end. Poker players who implement optimal poker tactics are better off adjusting their bet size due to table conditions and should refrain from deviating from optimal strategy.
